MISOPHONIA TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA

Specialized,
compassionate care
for misophonia

Our clinicians help people who react strongly to everyday sounds and sights to reduce or eliminate their emotion and distress response with evidence-informed treatment tailored to each person.

About us

Misophonia Treatment Centers of America brings together licensed clinicians who are specifically trained by us in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Misophonia (CBT-M). These techniques have been used by Dr. Mitchell,to greatly reduce misophonia symptoms in individuals since 2018.

It is based on misophonia theory, research, and treatment by Tom Dozier since 2012. This incorporates our theory that misophonia is an acquired reflex developed through conditioning, which can be reduced through counterconditioning.

  • Licensed specialists with specific training in CBT-Misophonia
  • Individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans
  • Care coordinated across our national network of providers

What Patients Say

"I was suffering from worsening anxiety due to the chronic pain and the extreme
unpredictable reactions that sound evoked from me. I want to give profound thanks to Tom Dozier.  He was the only one to identify my misophonia, provide treatment, and help me regain myself."
